I tend to find myself in situations where I have a spot of free time, and want to keep my mind sharp. Then again, I tend to find myself in situations where lugging around an entire Holotable is just not feasible. There is also the fact that for some strange reason, the strategic game of Dejarik is not more widespread in the galaxy- at least as far as I've seen. This may be due to the cost of obtaining and installing a Holotable is a hefty bit of credits, but either way, I aim to see the game gain more familiarity throughout more than just the pockets of players I've happened upon in the Outer Rim. 

There is some suspicion I have garnered surrounding the design of the game and a possible relation to the Empire, namely the Emperor himself. With similarities in their emblem to the game board, and even the Emperor's throne room windows of his fallen Death Star II, it's hard not to make such a connection. He didn't invent the ancient game, but he must have been an avid player. It is a lesser known fact that he was actually an adept player of Shah-tezh, which Dejarik is a later variant of. With this supposition, I play each game as if the fate of the galaxy rests on each move- a true strategic fight of good versus evil.

In wanting to see a greater more accessible reach for this age old game of strategy, I have designed and am happy to bring you the Dejarik Travel Set! I've designed something compact enough to keep on your person or in your kit, but robust enough to be able to play a high stakes game wherever your adventures might take you. So, game on!... and always let the Wookie win.

-Wood Case: The beautifully crafted walnut wood case serves as both the board and storage for the pieces and instructions. Simply open it to reveal the game board and neatly organized components.

-Instructions: Each set includes a pair of detailed instruction sheets, printed on handmade antiqued paper. These guides outline the possible moves and attacks for each creature on one side, complete with diagrams for easy reference, and the general game rules on the other- allowing both new and experienced players to quickly grasp the strategies. -Portable Design: With everything securely stored inside the case, it’s perfect for travel or quick set-ups, whether you’re at home, at a game night, or in the middle of a hyperspace jump aboard your ship.

-High-Quality Game Pieces: Each creature is carefully designed for durability and fits securely within the case for easy storage and transport. Each team, Red and Blue, features labels and symbols etched into the bases for each of the four classes- Brute, Predator, Guardian, and Scout. The case itself features a swiveling Stabilizer Arm to help the board lay more flat (If kept close for an extended period, the wood has a bit of spring to it. Keep it stored open to not only allow it to rest and lay flat but to display your game!). The Stabilizer Arm can also help to quickly clear the pieces into the storage area of the case for when you need to pick up and go in a hurry, such as in the instance of a run in with the Empire.
