Dejarik is a classic game that has been played across homes and starships throughout the galaxy. Despite its long-standing history, it remains a hidden gem in this region of space, widely unknown by many. There is some suspicion I have garnered surrounding the design of the game and a possible relation to the Empire, namely the Emperor himself. With similarities in their emblem to the game board, and even the Emperor's throne room windows of his fallen Death Star II, it's hard not to make such a connection. He didn't invent the ancient game, but he must have been an avid player. It is a lesser known fact that he was actually an adept player of Shah-tezh, which Dejarik is a later variant of. With this supposition, I play each game as if the fate of the galaxy rests on each move- a true strategic fight of good versus evil.
